Sierra
Jones
CFP®
At ten years old, Sierra Jones was driving a pickup truck across Nebraska farmland, sitting on a phone book so she could see over the steering wheel.
Her job? Hauling aluminum irrigation pipes from field to field, helping her uncle water the corn. While most kids that age were still trying to ride bikes without training wheels, Sierra was already learning to step up, take the wheel, and get the job done.
Growing up in a town of 750 people with just 18 kids in her graduating class, Sierra learned early that everyone wears multiple hats. She was simultaneously the baby of her family, a middle child, an only child, and an older sister—depending on the day and which relatives were around.
Sierra adapted to whatever role was needed. That ability to adapt became her superpower in the financial services world.
Sierra found her fit at tiny Doane College, where she could do everything—track team, campus magazine editor, all of it. She graduated with a journalism degree but no clear career path, until her stylish aunt called from Phoenix with an offer: "Want to try financial services?"
She started her career at Baird in client services, where she supported a team of advisors before leveling up into the world of asset management. She trained hard — try 40 cold calls a day for two years straight — before launching the next leg of her career: Traversing the western U.S. to help advisors scale their businesses, which she did for more than five years — all while studying to earn her CFP® designation on the long flights home.
What sets Sierra apart isn't just her decade of industry experience—it's her perspective. She's been the gatekeeper who answers the phone, the salesperson making the pitch, and the relationship manager solving the problems. She knows what clients need because she's seen what doesn't work.
Ten years and three different roles later, Sierra has seen the financial advisory world from every angle—and now she's sitting across the table from clients.
Her approach is refreshingly direct: she believes in doing the research, making the plan, and being prepared for anything. (Her six-page New Zealand honeymoon itinerary, complete with backup restaurant reservations, is legendary among friends and family.) But she's also flexible enough to pivot when life throws curveballs—a skill honed by years of adapting to whatever situation needed her attention.
Friends and family have been coming to her for everything from career decisions to relationship troubles for years. Now she gets to channel that natural inclination professionally, helping people navigate the financial decisions that can change their lives.
Her why is always the same: To make life uncomplicated and secure for others and ensure those around her have a great experience.
From that ten-year-old girl driving farm trucks to a financial advisor helping families build their futures, Sierra has always been the person willing to step up and take the wheel when it matters most.
Sierra lives just outside Denver with her husband Adam and their two dogs—Hadley and Moose. When she's not working, you'll find her engaging in fun outdoors: hiking, skiing, golfing—anything with a good mountain view.
